Job Description:

Vanguard Vantage General Contracting LLC is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing construction materials, equipment, and services in accordance with project timelines and budget requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procurement Planning: Plan and execute procurement activities for construction projects in line with drawings, BOQs, schedules, and budgets.
• Sourcing and Vendor Management: Source, evaluate, and manage construction material, equipment, and subcontract suppliers.
• Purchase Order Management: Prepare, issue, and follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery to site.
• Cost and Control Management: Control procurement costs, evaluate quotations, and support budget optimization.
• Quality and Compliance: Ensure all procured materials comply with project specifications, standards, and approvals.
• Reporting and Coordination: Coordinate with project, site, and QA/QC teams and prepare procurement status reports.

Core Competencies

• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of construction materials, specifications, and engineering requirements.
• Commercial Acumen: Ability to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules effectively.
• Systems Proficiency: Experience using ERP and procurement management systems.
• Analytical Thinking: Skilled in evaluating supplier quotations, cost comparisons, and procurement risks.
• Integrity & Compliance: Ensures adherence to company policies, contracts, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaboration: Works closely with engineers, project managers, and suppliers.
• Results Orientation: Focused on timely procurement to support uninterrupted site progress.

Requirements:

• Should be Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Civil Engineering from recognized University.
• Must have 3–5 years of UAE experience in procurement within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, local market, and vendor base.
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Construction industry experience is mandatory.
