Procurement Engineer (ELV / MEP) – Dubai, UAE

ALEMCO is looking for a Procurement Engineer (ELV / MEP) to support the Post-Contract Technical Procurement team, ensuring technically compliant procurement packages for large-scale construction projects.

As a Procurement Engineer (ELV / MEP), you will support the delivery of technically compliant procurement packages by working closely with engineering, commissioning, and commercial teams.

You will play a key role in ensuring that procured systems meet project specifications, performance requirements, and design intent.

Your Role

Reporting to the Procurement Package Manager / Head of Procurement, you will support procurement activities for ELV and specialist building systems across multiple projects, ensuring technical compliance with drawings, specifications, and BOQs.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Procurement Support

• Review specifications, drawings, and BOQs for ELV and MEP systems
• Support preparation of RFQs and procurement documentation
• Assist in technical evaluation of vendor submissions
• Ensure procurement packages align with project technical requirements

Technical Submittals & Compliance

• Support preparation and review of technical submittals and compliance matrices
• Conduct gap analysis between vendor proposals and project specifications
• Coordinate with consultants and engineering teams for approvals

ELV Systems Coverage

• Support procurement activities for systems including:
• Structured Cabling / Data Networks
• CCTV Systems
• Access Control & Security Systems
• Public Address / Voice Alarm Systems
• Fire Alarm Interfaces
• Building Management Systems (BMS)
• AV and Communication Systems

Stakeholder Coordination

• Coordinate with engineering, commissioning, and commercial teams
• Liaise with vendors and suppliers for technical clarifications
• Support tracking of procurement packages and approvals

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 4–8 years’ MEP engineering experience
• Strong understanding of ELV and building systems
• Experience reviewing technical submittals and compliance documents
• Familiarity with procurement processes (RFQ, technical evaluation, vendor coordination)

Highly Preferred

• Experience in MEP contracting or engineering environments
• Exposure to post-contract procurement processes
• Middle East project experience
• Experience supporting consultant-driven projects
