The Procurement Engineer - Mechanical (Shutdown & Turnaround) will be responsible for managing and coordinating all procurement activities related to mechanical equipment and materials during shutdown and turnaround phases. This role involves ensuring timely procurement, vendor management, and compliance with company and Saudi Aramco standards. The engineer will liaise closely with maintenance, engineering, and project teams to support operational goals and ensure smooth execution of shutdown and turnaround projects.
Responsibilities

Develop and implement procurement plans for shutdown and turnaround activities

Source and qualify suppliers/vendors for mechanical equipment and materials

Prepare procurement documentation, including RFQs, purchase orders, and contracts

Monitor procurement schedules to ensure timely delivery of materials and services

Coordinate with project and maintenance teams to understand material requirements and priorities

Ensure compliance with company policies and Saudi Aramco procurement standards

Manage vendor relationships and resolve procurement-related issues

Support budgeting and cost control activities related to procurement

Maintain accurate procurement records and reports
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in mechanical disciplines, specifically in shutdown and turnaround projects, with Saudi experience preferred

Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract administration

Familiarity with Saudi Aramco procurement standards and procedures preferred

Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively
