Position Summary
In your role as an Equipment Buyer, you'll be responsible to manage the investment activity for Main and Sub tools throughout the entire process.
You'll also manage the PO process, coordinate logistics, and understand the regulatory/import/export compliance requirements and internal stakeholder coordination.
You'll also analyze data to understand issues/problems and identify root causes, create and implement strategies for sourcing / supply chain optimization, and collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to mitigate risk and drive results through methods including data analysis, should-cost modeling, negotiation, and market intelligence (for industry and supplier).
Role and Responsibilities
Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:
Purchase data management.
Support investment activity from investment approval through to final install, including all intermediate steps (PO creation, shipping management, warehousing, coordination for hook-up, troubleshooting, etc.)
Create and execute strategies for sourcing (price negotiation, lead-time / quality improvement) and supply chain optimization (lead-time improvement, 2nd source).
Initiate and drive improvement projects and multi-disciplinary TFTs to drive results focused on cost savings, work efficiency, risk reduction and process innovation.
Effectively manage suppliers in areas including responsiveness, lead-time, timely delivery, invoice entry, continuous improvement/incident response, and overall performance through business review with suppliers.
Preparing reports, presentations, and analysis to support decision-making.
Attending meetings with suppliers and engineers to discuss procurement strategies.
Contributing to achieving company objectives and KPIs by managing procurement-related metrics.
Skills and Qualifications
Here's what you'll need:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Strong proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel); previous experience with ERP and inventory management systems strongly preferred.
Semiconductor industry experience a plus.
Proficiency in SAP/NERP or other similar ERP systems.
Proven ability to understand and manage end to end supply chain for direct procured parts.
Detail oriented; data-driven; ability to analyze and interpret data with an eye towards results and process/system improvement.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Ability to build database and BI dashboard.

The current base salary range for this role is between $57,760 - $156,950. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
