We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist with strong experience in local purchasing to manage our sourcing activities within Qatar. The role involves negotiating with local vendors, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality procurement of goods and services, and maintaining strong supplier relationships to meet organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source, evaluate, and select local suppliers based on price, quality, and service.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with local vendors.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services in line with company policies.
- Coordinate with internal departments to identify purchasing needs.
- Monitor and track purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery.
- Maintain and update supplier database, purchase records, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with local procurement laws, company policies, and standards.
- Analyze market trends to identify potential suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
- Resolve any issues regarding delivery, quality, or pricing discrepancies.
- Prepare procurement reports and present updates to management
- Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in local procurement in Qatar.
- Strong knowledge of the Qatar market, suppliers, and purchasing regulations.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Valid Qatar driving license (preferred).
