Procurement Executive

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Executive with 4–5 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain management. The ideal candidate should have a background in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or an MBA, with a strong understanding of sourcing, vendor management, cost control, and contract negotiation in an engineering or construction-oriented industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including sourcing, supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contracting.
• Collaborate with project teams and internal stakeholders to understand material and service requirements.
• Identify reliable suppliers, establish and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Ensure timely procurement of materials and services as per project requirements and timelines.
• Monitor market trends, pricing, and material availability to optimize procurement strategies.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery timelines, and cost effectiveness.
• Maintain procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, and payment documents.
• Assist in developing procurement plans and strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, MBA, Operations, or related discipline will also be considered.
• 4–5 years of hands-on experience in procurement.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with import/export logistics and global sourcing is a plus.
• Exposure to sustainable procurement practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Shillong, Meghalaya: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
