We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Assistant to join our team at Designer Mulberry Spaces Pvt Ltd. This role is essential for sourcing and acquiring high-quality materials, fixtures, fittings, and services for our luxury prefab and designer home projects. The ideal candidate will help maintain a streamlined supply chain to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet our high design and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance Travel & Vendor Vetting : Must be willing and able to travel as needed to perform mandatory supplier Pre-Inspections and Vendor Qualifications to ensure quality control, compliance, and supply chain integrity.
Purchase Order Management: Review purchase requisitions, issue Purchase Orders (POs), and follow up with vendors to ensure timely material delivery.
Supplier & Vendor Relations: Identify and qualify new suppliers for high-end, sustainable, or custom-designed products. Communicate daily with existing suppliers to resolve discrepancies and confirm order specifications. Maintain an organized vendor database.
Cost Control & Documentation: Obtain and analyse price quotations to support cost comparisons and negotiations. Maintain accurate procurement records, including delivery notes, invoices, and payment documentation. Coordinate with the Finance department for prompt supplier payments.
Project & Inventory Support: Collaborate with Design, Project Management, and Logistics teams to understand material specifications and delivery timelines. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment orders. Immediately flag potential risks related to supply shortages, price volatility, or delivery delays to the Procurement Manager.
Administrative Support: Prepare regular procurement reports and assist in developing and implementing procurement procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical preferred) is essential.
Experience: 3-5 years of proven experience in a Procurement, Purchasing, or Administrative role, preferably within the Construction, Builders , Interior Design, or Real Estate industry.
Key Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, strong verbal and written communication, and a proactive and analytical approach to problem-solving.
- Knowledge of materials, fixtures, and fittings used in high-end interior fit-out or construction projects.
- Basic understanding of contract terms and negotiation principles.
- A keen eye for quality and value consistent with a luxury design brand.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
