Brief
The Packaging & Procurement (Executive/Sr Executive) in GoDesi is responsible for sourcing and procuring packaging materials, managing vendor relationships, ensuring uninterrupted supply for production, and leading packaging development initiatives. The role focuses on cost optimisation, quality assurance, innovation in packaging, and compliance with regulatory and brand standards
Job Responsibilities

Source and procure primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging materials (MAP Trays, laminates, mono cartons, corrugated boxes, labels, etc.)

Managing vendors, which includes cost negotiation, payment terms, on-time supplies, etc.

Conduct vendor audits and performance reviews

Ensure packaging materials meet quality specifications and food safety standards.

Coordinate with QA/QC for incoming material inspection

Float RFQs/RFPs, conduct comparative cost analysis, and finalise vendors

Work closely with Marketing, R&D, and Production teams for new product launches and packaging revamps

Manage Keyline development, approvals, and printing quality standards

Maintain strong supplier relationships for innovation and continuous improvement

Forecast packaging material requirements based on sales and production plans

Maintain optimal inventory levels and safety stock

Coordinate with warehouse and planning teams to prevent stock-outs

Take cost-saving projects for packaging cost reduction
Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Technology
-
2-3 years of experience in FMCG packaging procurement and development
-
Strong understanding of laminates and mono-cartons
-
Good knowledge of ERP system, MS Excel etc
