The TikTok U.S. Data Security (USDS) Procurement Team is an essential function responsible for the strategy design and end-to-end process governing the purchase of goods and services. We are seeking a highly motivated Procurement Generalist to support end-to-end purchasing activities. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient, cost-effective, and compliant acquisition of goods and services necessary to protect U.S. user data.
On-site presence across teams allows the company to operate with greater speed, alignment, and agility — especially in areas like real-time decision-making, team development, and integrated execution. As such, the company is shifting from a hybrid work model to a fully in-person schedule up to 5 days a week.
Responsibilities
The Procurement Generalist will apply sourcing expertise across the Procure-to-Pay workflow, focusing on technology categories while also supporting broader procurement operations. Key responsibilities include:
- IT & Security Sourcing: Apply deep subject matter knowledge to manage spend categories including SaaS licenses, IT equipment, security hardware, and emerging technologies.
- Sourcing Strategy & Execution: Assist in developing category plans, execute strategic sourcing initiatives using best practices, and perform analysis of spend data, market dynamics, and business requirements.
- Supplier & Contract Management: Facilitate the sourcing and onboarding of new vendors, place purchase orders, manage supplier performance, and ensure purchasing contracts are fulfilled in strict accordance with legal and business policies.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal business stakeholders, particularly within Engineering, Security, and Trust & Safety, to understand their requirements and align procurement strategies.
- Analysis & Financial Modeling: Conduct complex data analysis, summarize RFP responses, build financial models (e.g., ROI, NPV), and prepare recommendations for business partners.
- Process Improvement: Drive sourcing digitization and continuous process improvements to enhance scalability and efficiency across the company’s contracting activities.
- Compliance & Risk: Continually assess operational and contractual risks, taking into account changing regulatory requirements and the impact of new technology on procurement processes.

- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks, manage competing priorities, and cultivate strong cross-functional relationships.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, market intelligence, sourcing strategy development, and project management.
