Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Procurement Head to lead our national sourcing operations. The candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing procurement strategies, supplier development, and ensuring seamless coordination across multiple sourcing zones. The ideal leader will bring discipline, market intelligence, and negotiation acumen to strengthen the company’s supply chain network.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, and manage end-to-end procurement activities across all sourcing regions.

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.

• Identify and engage reliable suppliers, mills, and mandi networks for rice, maize, malt, and related commodities.

• Build and maintain a strong vendor database across major grain-producing states.

• Negotiate cost-effective contracts ensuring quality and timely delivery.

• Oversee team performance and ensure adherence to procurement policies and procedures.

• Coordinate with sales, finance, and logistics teams for smooth execution of purchase orders.

• Track market trends, analyze price fluctuations, and provide regular intelligence reports.

• Introduce process improvements and digital tracking for better efficiency and transparency.

• Ensure compliance, accurate documentation, and timely submission of procurement reports.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 20 years of experience in procurement within distilleries, grains, food, or FMCG industries.

• Proven track record in vendor management, large-scale sourcing, and contract negotiation.

• Strong market contacts with traders, mandis, and mills across India.

• Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.

• Deep understanding of agri-commodity pricing, logistics, and supply chain operations.

• Ability to manage multiple teams and enforce strict work discipline.
