Job Description
ESMAŞ (a group company of MAPA) is seeking a Procurement Lead to manage strategic MEP procurement operations. This role requires expertise in long-lead project procurement, supplier negotiations, and cost optimization. The ideal candidate will have experience in large-scale contracts and long-term supplier relationships.
Responsibilities
Strategic Procurement Planning & Execution:

Develop and implement procurement frameworks aligned with the company’s long-term business and project objectives.

Oversee procurement strategies for long-lead materials, equipment, and services across multiple projects.

Ensure compliance with client procurement policies, PQ requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
Vendor Management & High-Level Negotiations:

Lead negotiations for large-scale contracts with key suppliers, ensuring optimal pricing, payment terms, and contract conditions.

Manage supplier prequalification (PQ) processes, ensuring all vendors meet technical, financial, and operational requirements.

Monitor supplier performance, compliance, and adherence to contract terms.
Contract & Risk Management:

Review, draft, and manage addendums, amendments, and contractual modifications as per project needs.

Ensure procurement activities align with regulations and other client standards, and internal compliance policies.

Conduct risk assessments and mitigate potential vulnerabilities within the supply chain.
Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Third-Party Inspection (TPI) & Commissioning:

Coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) with Project management for critical materials and equipment, ensuring technical compliance before shipment.

Manage Third-Party Inspections (TPI), ensuring quality assurance and compliance with project specifications.

Ensure commissioning support by working closely with vendors, ensuring materials and equipment function as per design specifications.

Assist in managing punch lists and warranty claims post-commissioning to ensure suppliers fulfill their contractual obligations.

Collaborate with technical teams to resolve any non-conformities identified during FATs, TPIs, or commissioning phases.
Interdepartmental Coordination:

Serve as a strategic liaison between project sites, engineering, planning, finance, and logistics teams.

Provide procurement insights and recommendations to senior management for data-driven decision-making.

Work closely with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of procured materials and equipment.
Budget Control & Cost Optimization:

Manage procurement budgets at a macro level, optimizing financial efficiency across multiple projects.

Implement cost-saving initiatives to maximize value without compromising project quality.
Process Improvement & Reporting:

Develop and enhance procurement policies, SOPs, and digital tools for streamlined operations.

Generate procurement reports, cost analyses, and supplier performance reviews for executive leadership.
Job Qualifications
Experience:

5 - 10 years of experience in large-scale procurement, EPC, or mega projects.

Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, contract management, and supplier performance evaluation.

Experience in working with senior leadership and providing strategic procurement insights.
Technical Knowledge & Skills:

Excellent negotiation skills, with a proven track record of securing high-value contracts.

Strong understanding of Prequalification (PQ) processes, ensuring compliance with client and project requirements.

Expertise in managing addendums, amendments, and contract modifications.

Experience in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Third-Party Inspections (TPI) for quality assurance.

Strong knowledge of cost analysis, budgeting, and financial planning in procurement.

Proficiency in SAP, ERP systems, and advanced Excel tools for data-driven procurement management.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Electric & Electronics, Mechanical or related engineering disciplines.
