Job Summary:

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire purchasing process for the company's projects, with a strong focus on solar energy. This role is crucial for ensuring that all goods, materials, and services are acquired at the best possible cost, quality, and in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sourcing and Planning:
  • Develop and implement strategic procurement plans and strategies that align with the company's business goals and project requirements.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their offerings, and stay updated on industry trends and pricing.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in the procurement process.
  • Supplier and Vendor Management:
  • Source, evaluate, and select suppliers and vendors based on quality, cost, and reliability.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to secure the most favorable agreements.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure compliance with contracts and quality standards.
  • Procurement Operations:
  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to purchase order, delivery, and invoice approval.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., engineering, project management, finance) to understand their needs and ensure timely material and service delivery for projects.
  • Oversee the management of procurement budgets and track expenditures to ensure cost control.
  • Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, contracts, and inventory levels.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, ethical standards, and legal regulations.
  • Identify potential supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project continuity.
  • Contribute to the security and sustainability of essential products and services.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead, mentor, and guide a team of procurement professionals (if applicable).
  • Promote a collaborative environment and provide guidance to ensure all team members are aligned with departmental and company objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-7+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a similar role, preferably within the solar, construction, or a related engineering industry.
  • Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and vendor management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze market trends, cost data, and supplier performance.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and procurement software.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, results-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,591.55 - ₹35,832.18 per month
