Procurement Manager

The Manager – Procurement is responsible for overseeing end-to-end supply chain operations, including sourcing, purchasing, inventory management, and logistics, with a strong focus on products, services, and projects within the ELV system(CCTV, Access control, LCS etc.) Life safety system, BMS, Industrial automation, POS related to Construction, and Engineering sectors.

This role ensures that all required materials, equipment, and services are procured in a cost-effective, timely, and efficient manner to support the successful execution of the company’s projects. It also involves developing and maintaining strong relationships with principal vendors, supply partners, and subcontractors to secure favorable prices, terms, and delivery schedules that align with project timelines.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans tailored to the company’s products and project requirements in electrical, construction, and engineering domains.
• Negotiate contracts for building construction and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure a reliable supply of project-critical products and services.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contractual obligations, and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to align procurement strategies with project specifications and technical requirements.
• Take initiative to reduce waste and costs to meet budgetary requirements, ensuring streamlined procurement and logistics processes.
• Ensure cost effective procurement in line with project timelines.
• Achieve annual procurement targets and KPIs with measurable contributions to project profitability and service delivery.
• Support the procurement and logistics team in securing competitive prices from vendors and shipping agents.
• Ensure timely procurement and subcontractor/manpower power supply finalization so that materials and services are delivered in line with construction project schedules.
• Forecast inventory and material needs based on project pipelines, sales trends, and engineering schedules.
• This role involves procurement related to MEP systems, building automation, and FM services, with a strong focus on procurement within the building maintenance domain
• Provide leadership, guidance, and training to the procurement team to build expertise in construction, engineering, and electrical products and services procurement.
• Ensure accurate reporting to Projects & Finance teams regarding costs, pending supplies, deliveries, and open/closed purchase orders.
• Work on credit terms with suppliers and payment cycle improvement.
• Subcontract/ manpower supply evaluation and identifying the quality subcontractors/manpower supply.
• Knowledge in AV Solutions & IT related products such as Networking equipment, enterprise software and storage solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science, or Commerce (Engineering preferred).
• Postgraduate diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Materials Management is an advantage.
• 8–10 years’ proven experience in Procurement/Supply Chain Management within Electrical, Construction, or Engineering industries having in UAE experience.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills with a proven track record in handling project-based procurement of materials, systems, and services.
