Role Overview: The Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing the procurement and supply chain management functions for Pana-Pacific. This role is critical in ensuring that we secure high-quality materials, components, and services at competitive prices while maintaining adherence to timelines and quality standards. This position will be located ON-SITE.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Implement an ongoing and comprehensive training environment to enhance technical competencies in procurement processes, contract negotiation, supply chain management and product knowledge while continuing to hone soft skills.
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company’s objectives. Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers and vendors that meet the company's quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers domestically and abroad. Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Manage contract execution and oversee amendments as necessary.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels and ensure timely procurement of materials to meet project demands. Implement inventory control measures to minimize excess stock, eliminate out-of-stocks and achieve optimal landed costs.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies. Implement contingency plans to address supply disruptions and ensure business continuity.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CPPB) is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of procurement experience, with at least 5 years in a senior role. Experience with complex and high-value procurements is essential. Experience dealing with suppliers and sourcing in Asia.
Skills:
- Proven ability to manage, develop, train and direct a procurement team.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract management, and supply chain dynamics.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, e-sourcing platforms).
- Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
