Job description:

We are looking for a Procurement Manager to join our growing team. He/ She is responsible for overseeing the procurement and supply chain activities within the Real Estate Development Company. They will play a vital role in sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required for the successful execution of real estate development projects. The Procurement Manager will collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement, while adhering to quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Procurement Planning and Strategy:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet project requirements and objectives.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to determine procurement needs, specifications, and timelines.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate favourable terms and pricing with suppliers.

Vendor Management and Selection:

  • Identify, evaluate, and select reliable vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure the availability of quality materials and services.
  • Evaluate vendor performance, track delivery timelines, and resolve any issues or disputes that arise.
  • Monitor vendor compliance with contractual agreements, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Purchasing and Contracting:

  • Prepare and issue purchase orders and contracts based on project requirements and budgetary constraints.
  • Ensure accurate and timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to define specifications and standards for purchased items.
  • Review and analyze purchase requisitions and requests to determine appropriate sourcing strategies.

Inventory and Logistics Management:

  • Manage inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse or logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Oversee the shipping, receiving, and storage of purchased items, ensuring proper handling and documentation.
  • Monitor inventory levels, track usage, and implement effective inventory control measures.
  • Optimize logistics processes to minimize lead times, transportation costs, and inventory holding costs.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Stay updated with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to procurement and supply chain management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and contractual obligations.
  • Mitigate procurement-related risks and implement appropriate risk management strategies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 8 years proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in the real estate or construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data, market trends, and vendor performance metrics.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
