Job Title: Procurement Manager

Position reporting to: Procurement Executive
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end procurement for electrical EPC projects, ensuring timely availability of materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.
- Interpret electrical engineering drawings, BOQs, and specifications to prepare precise procurement plans.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors while nurturing long-term partnerships rooted in quality and reliability.
- Issue RFQs, conduct techno-commercial comparisons, negotiate terms, and finalize purchase orders.
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and compliance with contractual terms.
- Managing whole procurement team.
- Coordinate closely with engineering, project management, finance, and site teams to harmonize procurement with project timelines.
- Ensure cost optimization without compromising quality or safety standards.
- Maintain transparent documentation—POs, contracts, delivery records, and inspection reports.
- Mitigate procurement-related risks through foresight, market analysis, and alternate sourcing strategies.
- Drive digital procurement practices, inventory planning, and process improvements.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (mandatory).
- 5–10+ years of procurement experience in the EPC domain (transmission, distribution, solar, substations, industrial projects).
- Strong understanding of electrical equipment: transformers, switchgear, cables, panels, earthing materials, and project consumables.
- Excellent negotiation, vendor-management, and market-research skills.
- Knowledge of GST, taxation, logistics, and commercial terms (INCOTERMS).
- Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and procurement software.
- A strategic mind, disciplined follow-up, and the ability to thrive under timelines.
