Job Title: Procurement Manager – Construction Industry

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Procurement Manager to oversee the sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management for construction projects. The role requires excellent negotiation skills, market knowledge, and the ability to ensure timely delivery of materials at the best cost and quality.

Key Responsibilities:Procurement & Purchasing

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project requirements.
  • Manage the entire procurement cycle: RFQs, price comparison, negotiations, purchase orders, and delivery follow-ups.
  • Source reliable suppliers and subcontractors for materials, equipment, and services.
  • Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of construction materials.

Vendor & Supplier Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Evaluate supplier performance based on price, quality, delivery time, and service.
  • Maintain an updated supplier database.

Cost Control & Negotiation

  • Analyze market trends and pricing to achieve competitive rates.
  • Prepare cost comparison sheets and negotiate the best terms and conditions.
  • Work closely with the finance team to manage budgets and cost-saving initiatives.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and UAE regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records: contracts, purchase orders, delivery notes, invoices.
  • Prepare procurement reports for management review.

Coordination & Project Support

  • Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and other departments to understand material requirements.
  • Monitor material delivery schedules to avoid project delays.
  • Assist in resolving any supply chain issues or disputes.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 2+ years of procurement experience in the construction industry (UAE experience preferred).
  • Strong understanding of construction materials, suppliers, and market rates.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
