Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and manage the procurement team to ensure project objectives are met within the set timelines.
  • Develop and manage the procurement budget, including detailed cost breakdowns and budget allocations for subcontracts, in coordination with the commercial team.
  • Establish a detailed procurement schedule based on the overall project timeline, ensuring timely acquisition of goods and services.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select subcontractors through rigorous processes including quotation adjudication, prequalification reviews, and pre-award negotiations.
  • Prepare letters of intent and agreements for subcontractors in coordination with the Commercial Manager. Ensure compliance with contractual terms and manage any necessary contract modifications.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and other stakeholders to ensure all materials and services meet project specifications. Address any issues related to rejected materials and oversee corrective actions.
  • Implement strategies to mitigate risks associated with procurement activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Evaluate subcontractor performance in procurement and delivery, providing feedback to the commercial department for future reference. Report any significant performance issues that may require contractual actions.


Requirements:

  • Degree-level education in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement within construction industry.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of contract law and experience in contract management.
