A large, highly regulated financial institution is looking for an experienced Technology Procurement / Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead complex sourcing initiatives across IT software and services. This role sits at the intersection of commercial strategy, stakeholder advisory, and vendor negotiation.

You’ll own end-to-end sourcing engagements, from shaping the commercial approach through to negotiated contracts that balance cost, risk, and long-term value.

Role

• Lead high-value, complex negotiations across IT software and technology services
• Act as a trusted commercial advisor to senior stakeholders across technology, finance, risk, and legal
• Design and execute sourcing strategies that drive measurable savings and cost avoidance
• Run competitive sourcing events (RFx) to improve pricing, terms, and supplier performance
• Identify financial, contractual, and operational risk, and proactively mitigate it
• Analyze spend and vendor data to uncover cost reduction and optimization opportunities
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts including MSAs, SOWs, and licensing agreements
• Apply best-in-class procurement practices while navigating a fast-paced, regulated environment
• Balance speed with rigor when managing multiple concurrent sourcing initiatives

Responsibilities

• Strong background in strategic sourcing / procurement for IT software & services
• Deep understanding of software commercial models: SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, on-prem, subscription, perpetual, maintenance structures
• Proven success delivering P&L impact through savings and cost avoidance initiatives
• Hands-on experience negotiating with large, enterprise technology vendors
• Confident communicator who can influence and manage demanding stakeholders
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating across multiple teams
• Detail-oriented, commercially sharp, and resilient under pressure
• Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field preferred
