Your Role in Our Mission
As our Procurement Manager, you will be the strategic owner of the procurement function at NEXT Ventures. You’ll take full, end-to-end ownership of how we source, negotiate, and buy. Turning a fragmented, approval-heavy process into a fast, disciplined, and cost-efficient engine that scales across Bangladesh, Malaysia, Dubai, Cyprus, and Sri Lanka.
The majority of our spend sits in IT procurement SaaS and software licensing alongside high-volume, recurring hardware and device purchases. You will be the person who knows the market better than anyone in the room, consistently lands deals below prevailing rates, and removes the bottlenecks that today cost us real money. You are a “10x person” someone who never settles, thinks deeper, and delivers results through grit and determination.
How You’ll Make An Impact
IT, SaaS & Hardware Procurement
-
Own sourcing and negotiation for our largest spend category SaaS subscriptions, software licensing, and recurring renewals (e.g. workspace, productivity, and platform tools used across 700+ users).
-
Lead procurement of IT hardware and devices for all five offices evaluating where to source and how to ship for the best landed cost, whether buying locally or moving equipment cross-border.
-
Take the baton from IT cleanly: once the team defines what’s needed, you own the rest sourcing, pricing, vendor selection, and the final commercial decision.
-
Get ahead of renewals so pricing is locked before deadlines slip and offers expire.
Negotiation & Vendor Management
-
Drive hard, commercially strong negotiations and don’t stop at market standard. When a deal already beats prevailing rates, push further on price, SLAs, renewal protection, and payment terms.
-
Lead end-to-end sourcing: requirements intake, market mapping, vendor evaluation, RFQ/RFP execution, and award recommendations.
-
Establish supplier performance governance through SLAs, scorecards, and regular business reviews to ensure consistent quality and value.
-
Build long-term supplier relationships that improve responsiveness, continuity, and resilience negotiating firmly without damaging the relationship.
Process, Speed & Governance
-
Re-engineer the approval loop. Today, requests can take one to two months to clear; you will compress that cycle while keeping the right controls in place protecting us from the cost of expired offers and price creep.
-
Build and own procurement policies, SOPs, approval flows, and documentation standards, supported by a clear RACI and accountability (recognising our SOP foundation exists and needs you to mature and streamline it).
-
Act as the key procurement advisor for high-value / high-risk purchases, preparing structured recommendations for the Procurement Committee (PC).
-
Oversee the full procurement cycle — PR → PO → GRN/Delivery → Invoice → Payment with speed, accuracy, and audit-ready paperwork.
Multi-Market Coordination
-
Coordinate sourcing across five markets, accounting for how pricing, vendor behaviour, and negotiation norms differ from one country to the next.
-
Partner closely with regional admin and IT teams particularly in Bangladesh, where physical device coordination is anchored — to keep procurement responsive on the ground.
-
Proactively manage supplier and supply risks (continuity, delivery, commercial, reputational) through tighter controls and fallback options.
Spend Analytics & Reporting
-
Run spend analysis to reduce maverick spend, consolidate vendors, and surface savings and value opportunities.
-
Track and report procurement KPIs savings delivered, cycle time, compliance rate, supplier performance, renewal risk, and spend by category.
-
Partner with Finance to align purchases with budgets, improve forecasting, and keep vendor payments timely and clean.
What You Bring
-
Strong procurement track record — 6+ years across strategic sourcing, vendor management, and procurement operations (PR → PO → GRN/Delivery → Invoice → Payment).
-
Tech procurement depth — hands-on experience buying SaaS, software licensing, and IT hardware/devices, ideally at the scale a large, fast-growing organisation operates at.
-
Elite negotiation ability — a proven, relentless negotiator who consistently lands below-market deals and closes commercially strong contracts (pricing, SLAs, renewals, risk clauses, payment terms).
-
End-to-end ownership — the mindset to take a need and run it to closure without hand-holding, owning the final commercial call.
-
Governance discipline — strong grasp of policy, approval controls, documentation, and audit readiness, with the ability to build and enforce SOPs.
-
Stakeholder management — partners confidently with Finance, Legal, Tech, and business teams and drives alignment without slowing things down.
-
Analytical and data-driven — strong Excel/Google Sheets skills with experience tracking spend, savings, compliance, and supplier performance.
-
Leadership capability — can guide a small team, set clear KPIs, and build an efficient operating rhythm.
Nice to have: multi-market or cross-border sourcing exposure across more than one country. Strong candidates without it who can demonstrate the right mindset and the capacity to learn new markets fast are equally encouraged to apply — we hire for the right person over a specific geography.
Your X-Factor
-
Turns procurement into a competitive advantage not a blocker.
-
Can negotiate hard without damaging relationships.
-
Knows the market well enough that no one in the room finds a better price than you do.
-
Builds systems that scale (policy + workflow + dashboards), then enforces them with calm discipline.
-
Thinks in risk + value + speed and explains tradeoffs in simple language.
