Our client, a global car rental company, is looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to lead sourcing and supplier management for automotive parts, consumables, and operational supplies. This role plays a key part in optimizing costs, ensuring supplier reliability, and strengthening our overall procurement strategy to support fleet operations and service excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for spare parts, consumables, and related materials within the car rental or automotive sector.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers, conduct prequalification and periodic performance assessments.
  • Lead RFQ, tendering, and negotiation processes, ensuring alignment with corporate policies, SOPs, and budgetary goals.
  • Secure strategic supplier agreements that deliver competitive pricing, quality assurance, and timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with technical, operations, and fleet management teams to forecast demand and ensure seamless procurement planning.
  • Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and spend patterns to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvement.
  • Manage vendor contracts, approvals, and invoice reconciliations, escalating delays or cost impacts as needed.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels of parts and consumables to support operational efficiency.
  • Prepare regular procurement reports, KPIs, and trend analyses to inform decision-making and strategic sourcing initiatives.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement within the automotive or logistics industry.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive parts, components, and supply chains.
  • Proven record of successful vendor negotiation, cost optimization, and supplier relationship management.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret data-driven insights.
  • Proficient in procurement systems and ERP platforms.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and stakeholder management abilities.
