About the Role:

Nauru Medical Centre is seeking an experienced and results-driven Procurement Manager to oversee all purchasing and supply chain activities for our healthcare operations. The successful candidate will ensure cost-effective procurement of medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, and hospital supplies, while maintaining compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to support hospital operations and cost efficiency.
• Source and evaluate suppliers for medical equipment, consumables, and services.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with departments to ensure timely replenishment of critical supplies.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, supplier performance, and contract documentation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
• Collaborate with finance, logistics, and clinical departments to streamline purchasing and delivery processes.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, preferably in a hospital or healthcare environment.
• Strong knowledge of medical supplies, equipment sourcing, and vendor management.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office applications.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
