Procurement Officer

Sharjah, United Arab Emirates

Job Purpose:
To manage and coordinate the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracted services for construction projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness, timely delivery, and compliance with quality and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive purchase requests and verify specifications with relevant departments.
  • Source, evaluate, and select suppliers/subcontractors based on quality, price, and delivery time.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders and contracts.
  • Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions to achieve the best value for the company.
  • Compare and analyze technical and commercial proposals.
  • Monitor deliveries to ensure compliance with agreed schedules and specifications.
  • Maintain and update the approved suppliers’ list.
  • Prepare procurement reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure all procurement activities follow company policies and legal regulations.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in procurement, preferably in construction or contracting.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office.

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
