Role Overview

The Procurement Officer will play a key role in managing the end-to-end purchasing process of materials, equipment, and services essential to the company’s operations. The role demands a proactive individual with strong negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills to ensure cost-effective and timely sourcing aligned with Lootah Biofuels’ sustainability and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies in line with company objectives and sustainability goals.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international suppliers for optimal pricing, quality, and delivery.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders, RFQs, and tender documents while ensuring compliance with internal policies.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with operations to forecast material requirements.
• Maintain and update the Approved Vendor List (AVL) and evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, and service.
• Ensure proper documentation, record-keeping, and adherence to ISO and audit standards.
• Coordinate logistics for inbound materials, customs clearance, and delivery scheduling.
• Work closely with finance for invoice verification, payment processing, and budget tracking.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through process improvement and supplier collaboration.
• Support sustainability initiatives by prioritizing eco-friendly and ethical sourcing practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 3–5 years of UAE experience in procurement or supply chain, preferably in biofuels, oil & gas, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Odoo preferred).
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with sustainability standards, ISO procedures, and UAE import/export regulations is an advantage.
