Job Title: Procurement Officer (Medical Field)
Key Responsibilities
- Source, evaluate, and purchase medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, and hospital supplies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to ensure cost efficiency and compliance.
- Ensure all procurement complies with hospital policies, government regulations, and quality standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse and clinical teams for timely replenishment.
- Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, delivery, and service.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, purchase orders, and contracts.
- Support audits, budgeting, and financial reporting related to procurement activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in medical procurement, healthcare supply chain, or hospital purchasing.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, equipment, and consumables.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or ERP systems).
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance standards in the medical industry.
Preferred Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in a hospital or healthcare procurement department.
- Certification such as CIPS, CSCP, or CPM is a plus.
- Experience with import/export of medical devices and consumables.
- Arabic speaking in a Plus.
