Procurement Officer

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Executive with a strong background in the food industry, specifically within frozen food processing, manufacturing, or trading. The ideal candidate must have solid international buying experience and will be responsible for sourcing high-quality materials, negotiating with global suppliers, managing purchase orders, controlling inventory levels, and ensuring cost-effective and timely procurement aligned with company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source raw materials, frozen food products, packaging, and other supplies required for food operations
• Manage international procurement activities, including supplier sourcing, negotiations, and import coordination
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international suppliers to secure the best pricing, quality, and delivery terms
• Prepare, review, and manage purchase orders in line with company policies and procedures
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing wastage, especially for perishable and frozen goods
• Coordinate with production, quality, logistics, and finance teams to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards, cold chain requirements, quality regulations, and international import/export guidelines
• Track supplier performance and maintain strong, long-term supplier relationships
• Control procurement costs and contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and cost-saving initiatives

Requirements:

• 3–7 years of proven experience in procurement or purchasing
• Mandatory experience in the food industry, specifically frozen food processing, manufacturing, or trading
• Strong international buying experience is essential
• Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills
• Good understanding of inventory control, especially for frozen and perishable goods
• Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced MS Excel skills
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• Experience managing both local and international suppliers
