Job Summary
Procurement officer to oversee purchasing activities and ensure that purchased items are both cost-efficient and of high quality. The procurement officer's responsibilities include maintaining positive supplier relations, evaluating supply options, approving purchases, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow and enforce the company's procurement policies and procedures.
- Maintain and update supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
- Maintain good supplier relations and negotiating contracts.
- Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders
- Manage and coordinate the approval of invoices and payment of suppliers
- Coordinate and manage the delivery of purchased products
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure quality and timely delivery of goods and services
- Research and identify new suppliers to increase competition and reduce costs
- Coordinate with the inventory team, management, and stock store as required
- Pharmacy Orders Transmittal for Pharmacy Invoice Sending of pharmacy PO’S, Filing Receiving & Follow Up
- Filing Documents: Payment/ Advance Payment/Cheque/ Petty Cash, Invoice Transmittal for Petty Cash.
- Perform other related tasks when assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferably with knowledge of healthcare procurement).
- 4-5 years of experience in procurement, ideally within a healthcare or laboratory setting.
- Knowledge of medical laboratory equipment, reagents, and supplies is highly desirable.
- Experience with inventory management and procurement software systems.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
