The procurement officer's responsibilities include maintaining positive supplier relations, evaluating supply options, approving purchases, and maintaining accurate records. To be successful as a procurement officer you should have an analytical mind and keep up with product and service trends.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, and any relevant ERP system.
- Can easily adapt in a work environment.

- Ability to resolve problems in an efficient manner.
- Receiving approved PR's.
- Floating inquiries to the concerned suppliers.
- Receiving quotations from mentioned suppliers.
- Making a comparison of the quotations received.
- Submitting the comparison to Manager for negotiation and finalization.
- Preparation of LPO once the value and supplier has been finalized.
- Forwarding the LPO to the Manager for approval.
- Coordinating with the suppliers for prompt delivery of the materials to the site.
- Coordinating with the site staff regarding the quality and quantity of the materials received.
- Coordinating with the Accounts Department regarding the supplier’s payments.
- Maintaining proper filing of all the PR's and LPOs.
- Receiving and updating PR and LPO logs.
Qualifications:
· Minimum 5-7 yr procurement experience in Marine field. Preferably in UAE.
· Good knowledge in marine products
· Good communication skills in both English and Hindi.
· Educational Qualification: Degree Holder
