Position Summary:

The Procurement & Operations Assistant ensures efficient, cost-effective, and compliant procurement and material handling at Sorrelli, supporting smooth production and supplier collaboration. Along with support with customer order fulfillment and shipping.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily Review & Prioritization: Check communications and factory schedules; update priorities, track delays, and adjust orders.
  • Purchase Order Management: Place and confirm vendor POs, update delivery dates, and maintain accurate system records.
  • Vendor Relations: Communicate regularly with suppliers to confirm schedules, expedite shipments, resolve issues, and negotiate pricing/terms.
  • Material Receiving & Quality: Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality; report discrepancies; label and store materials correctly.
  • Production Shipments: Verify, package, and document outbound shipments with correct bin labels, packing lists, HTS codes, and invoices; coordinate with receiving teams to close out inventory.
  • Inventory & Procurement Optimization: Monitor stock, consolidate materials where possible, and keep records accurate in ERP.
  • HTS & Tariff Management: Maintain and optimize HTS codes to reduce duties and ensure compliance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Refine procurement and shipping processes to cut costs, improve efficiency, and support production.
  • Inventory Management: Receive product into stock, organize inventory, labeling/packaging
  • Order Fulfillment: Allocate inventory to orders in a timely manner, following standard protocols of SKU documentation and invoicing
  • Manages all product requirements in accordance with each customer’s needs; e.g. is the lead on ticketing and packaging standards, maintains and distributes documentation.
  • Ensure Accuracy: Check outgoing orders and documentation for completeness
  • Repairs: Occasionally assist in-bound customer repairs, processed through a digital system
  • Act as a team: Share responsibilities, perform tasks as needed and take initiative to drive success towards daily goals and department objectives
  • Assist with shipping related duties for boutique, nationals, and ecomm customers. Including box preparation, filing claims, and obtaining shipping quotes.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of procurement, supply chain, and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (inventory & PO functions).
  • Skilled communicator and negotiator with vendors and internal teams.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
