Procurement Operations Specialist

We are seeking a hands-on Project Procurement Operations Specialist for a short-term contract engagement. The primary mission is to conduct a focused review of our current procurement processes and lead the effort to streamline, document, and implement critical improvements.

This role is pivotal in enhancing the efficiency and user experience of our procurement function, with a strong emphasis on optimizing our Zip procurement platform (ziphq.com) .

Duration: 4 month contract

Location: On-site

Compensation: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour (full-time 40+ hours a week)

What You'll Do:

• Zip Platform Optimization: Dive deep into our current Zip configuration. Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Implement structural changes, update workflows, and configure settings to align with best practices.
• Process Documentation: Develop and write crystal-clear, user-friendly documentation. This includes creating new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), "how-to" guides, and visual process maps for all updated procurement workflows.
• Cross-Functional Training & Adoption: Act as the subject matter expert for these changes. Work directly with internal teams (e.g., Finance, Legal, and various departments) to communicate, educate, and train them on the new processes, ensuring a smooth transition and company-wide adoption

What We're Looking For:

• Must-Have: Expert-level knowledge of the Zip procurement platform (ziphq.com). You must be comfortable with its administrative backend, including workflow configuration and implementing structural improvements.
• Proven Process Expert: Demonstrated experience in analyzing, improving, and streamlining procurement or financial operations.
• Exceptional Documentarian: A strong ability to translate complex processes into simple, clear, and precise documentation (technical writing/process writing).
• Excellent Communicator & Trainer: You are skilled at working across teams, managing change, and educating colleagues with varying technical skills.
• Project-Based Mindset: You can work independently, manage your time effectively, and deliver high-impact results within a defined project timeline.
