Supplier Sourcing and Management
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify potential suppliers and manufacturers globally and locally.
- Develop strong vendor relationships to negotiate favorable terms, lead times, and cost savings.
Cost Optimization and Negotiation
- Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining high standards of quality and reliability.
- Develop and execute negotiation strategies to achieve the best value on material and service procurement.
- Perform total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis to evaluate sourcing options effectively.
Procurement Strategy and Planning
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Operations) to understand project requirements and align procurement strategies accordingly.
- Analyze market trends and supply conditions to proactively manage risks related to supply chain disruptions or cost fluctuations.
- Develop long-term sourcing plans and procurement roadmaps to support production and operational needs.
Technical Evaluation and Specification Compliance
- Work with engineering and quality assurance teams to ensure that procured items meet technical and regulatory specifications.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical requirements to verify supplier capability.
- Support supplier quality and process improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability and consistency.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or related field) or Supply Chain Management
Skills:
- Strong analytical skills and familiarity with cost modeling, supplier assessment, and supply chain analytics.
- Knowledge of engineering specifications, blueprints, and quality assurance methodologies.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
