Procurement / Outsourcing Engineer

Supplier Sourcing and Management

• Identify, evaluate, and qualify potential suppliers and manufacturers globally and locally.
• Develop strong vendor relationships to negotiate favorable terms, lead times, and cost savings.

Cost Optimization and Negotiation

• Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining high standards of quality and reliability.
• Develop and execute negotiation strategies to achieve the best value on material and service procurement.
• Perform total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis to evaluate sourcing options effectively.

Procurement Strategy and Planning

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Operations) to understand project requirements and align procurement strategies accordingly.
• Analyze market trends and supply conditions to proactively manage risks related to supply chain disruptions or cost fluctuations.
• Develop long-term sourcing plans and procurement roadmaps to support production and operational needs.

Technical Evaluation and Specification Compliance

• Work with engineering and quality assurance teams to ensure that procured items meet technical and regulatory specifications.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical requirements to verify supplier capability.
• Support supplier quality and process improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability and consistency.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or related field) or Supply Chain Management

Skills:

• Strong analytical skills and familiarity with cost modeling, supplier assessment, and supply chain analytics.
• Knowledge of engineering specifications, blueprints, and quality assurance methodologies.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
