Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Purchaser / Procurement Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing products and services, managing vendor relationships, negotiating prices, and ensuring the timely procurement of goods required for smooth business operations. The role requires strong communication, organizational, and negotiation skills, particularly in a hospitality-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate suppliers and vendors.
- Obtain quotations and negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare and process purchase orders according to company procedures.
- Track orders and ensure on-time delivery of goods and services.
- Maintain records of purchases, supplier agreements, and pricing.
- Compare vendor quotations and recommend cost-effective purchasing options.
- Resolve issues related to quality, delivery delays, or discrepancies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers. (Qureos)
Requirements
- Minimum Qualification: Intermediate (FA/FSc/I.Com or equivalent).
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of procurement procedures and vendor management.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of hospitality industry purchasing practices will be an advantage. (Qureos)
