Procurement Specialist

As a Procurement Specialist, you are required to identify and acquire Equipment and its parts and key components, while ensuring quality, competitive pricing, and adherence to rules and regulations. Key responsibilities include sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, creating purchase orders, and managing supplier relationships to maintain a steady flow of requisite goods and materials.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supplier identification and management: Research and identify potential vendors and build and maintain strong relationships with them.
• Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, prices and terms with suppliers to secure the best deals.
• Procurement process management: Create and manage purchase orders, process invoices and ensure the accuracy of delivered goods and services.
• Inventory and demand management: Monitor inventory levels, work with other teams to forecast demand, and ensure there are sufficient stock levels.
• Compliance and risk management: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, legal standards and regulations. Monitor supplier performance and conduct risk assessments.
• Collaboration: Work well with internal teams to understand procurement needs and align on strategies.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities
• Proficiency in data analysis, spreadsheet software like Excel and other relevant systems
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Knowledge of supply chain management principles and risk assessment
