Responsibilities
- Identifying and sourcing potential suppliers and vendors for aerospace manufacturing needs
- Negotiating agreements with suppliers to ensure best quality, cost and delivery timelines of goods and services
- Inspecting and verifying the quality and specifications of procured items to ensure compliance with aerospace standards
- Process purchase orders and maintaining accurate records of purchases, pricing, certificates, and other important data
- Developing and maintaining professional relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Working closely with other departments, such as Maintenance, Accounting and quality assurance, to ascertain procurement needs and specifications
- Managing inventory, delivery and logistics of procured items
- Ensuring compliance with the company’s procurement policies and procedures as well as relevant laws and regulations
- Monitor and report to management and technicians on status of goods and services
- Maintaining calibrated tool reports and certificates
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of proven experience as a procurement specialist or in a similar role, preferably in the aerospace industry.
- Familiarity with inventory management
- Able to handle a high volume of requests, emails, and calls on a daily basis.
- Able to prioritize based on maintenance scheduling needs
- Excellent organization and communication skills with managers and technicians
- Maintaining a daily status sheet of all open orders
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $52,000.00 - $62,400.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
