Responsibilities

  • Identifying and sourcing potential suppliers and vendors for aerospace manufacturing needs
  • Negotiating agreements with suppliers to ensure best quality, cost and delivery timelines of goods and services
  • Inspecting and verifying the quality and specifications of procured items to ensure compliance with aerospace standards
  • Process purchase orders and maintaining accurate records of purchases, pricing, certificates, and other important data
  • Developing and maintaining professional relationships with suppliers and vendors
  • Working closely with other departments, such as Maintenance, Accounting and quality assurance, to ascertain procurement needs and specifications
  • Managing inventory, delivery and logistics of procured items
  • Ensuring compliance with the company’s procurement policies and procedures as well as relevant laws and regulations
  • Monitor and report to management and technicians on status of goods and services
  • Maintaining calibrated tool reports and certificates

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of proven experience as a procurement specialist or in a similar role, preferably in the aerospace industry.
  • Familiarity with inventory management
  • Able to handle a high volume of requests, emails, and calls on a daily basis.
  • Able to prioritize based on maintenance scheduling needs
  • Excellent organization and communication skills with managers and technicians
  • Maintaining a daily status sheet of all open orders

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 - $62,400.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
