Your role


Integral to our Global Procurement team, the Tactical Procurement Specialist plays a vital role in executing and overseeing key aspects of the procurement process. From effective communication and complaint resolution to the meticulous management of purchase orders, this role is pivotal in maintaining operational excellence. Empowered to govern the entire procurement process, the Tactical Procurement Specialist ensures compliance, fosters supplier relationships, and facilitates cross-functional collaboration. We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with a pro-active mindset, dedicated to contributing to the successful and streamlined operations of our tactical procurement activities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Create, manage and modify purchase orders in SAP in alignment with procurement processes.
  • Maintain up-to-date procurement data, including pricing, contracts, lead times and supplier information.
  • Ensure clear and effective communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Resolve order-related issues, including complaints, delays, and logistics/import topics.
  • Perform daily checks and follow-up on overdue purchase orders and pending supplier actions.
  • Manage supplier selection and assign purchase requisitions in SAP accordingly.
  • Address product specification or regulatory compliance issues as needed.
  • Initiate and track Alternate Vendor Approval processes.

Supporting Role:

In the capacity of Tactical Procurement, your supporting role is crucial in ensuring the efficiency and strategic success of our procurement operations.

  • Contribute operational input to supplier meetings and negotiations.
  • Assist in identifying and evaluating potential new suppliers.
  • Support sourcing tactics development (e.g., bidding vs classical negotiation).
  • Escalate critical supplier performance issues as needed.
  • Help monitor and manage supplier relationships within the assigned category.
  • Provide input for new cost-effective initiatives for delegated spend.
  • Participate in product category risk assessments and suggest measures to mitigate risks for delegated raw materials.


About you


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in procurement or a related field

Skills:

  • Foundational understanding of operational procurement processes such as purchase order creation and updates.
  • Basic knowledge of procurement concepts such as Incoterms, lead times, and supplier terms.
  • Clear and professional communication skills; team player with a collaborative attitude.
  • High attention to detail with a focus on maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation.
  • Strong analytical thinking skills to interpret data, identify issues, and support effective decision-making.
  • Willingness to take ownership of tasks and follow through with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in Office 365, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting, as well as Outlook and PowerPoint for communication and presentations.
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar tools is a plus.
  • Tech-savvy and quick to adapt to new digital tools, systems, and workflows
  • Proactive and solution-focused approach to support day-to-day procurement activities.

Pay Transparency Disclosure: The expected annual salary range for this position is USD 55000.00 – USD 65000.00. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and company performance.
