JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for ensuring an uninterrupted, cost-effective supply of raw materials, goods, and services necessary to support American Pacific’s business objectives. This position ensures that critical materials, products, and services are delivered on time while maintaining and governing supply and manufacturing master data to support operational needs. The role ensures all master data is accurate, current, and aligned with operational requirements, regulatory standards, and quality compliance, and partners closely with supply, manufacturing, and quality teams to proactively resolve data-related issues that could impact production continuity, efficiency, or compliance.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE MINIMUMS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business, Economics, Math, Chemistry, or related field
  • Demonstrated strong communication, negotiation and organizational skills typically acquired through 5 or more years of relevant or related experience.
  • Procurement or directly relevant sales experience
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Preferred database software experience in Oracle or SAP

  • High personal credibility and ethics
  • Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of market economics, cost drivers, value chains etc. (ideally within the chemical industry)
  • Able to manage conflicting and rapidly changing priorities prioritize effectively and deliver to deadlines.

  • Self-starter with strong business acumen and the ability to link business goals and market trends to make sound procurement decisions.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor order confirmations, deliveries, and discrepancies; follow up with vendors as required. Collaborate with Henderson Procurement team to track open orders and expedite priority orders.

  • Maintain a process to ensure that raw materials and spare parts are delivered on the requested need by date. Monitor order confirmations, deliveries, and discrepancies; follow up with vendors as required.

  • Support new onboarding activities in SAP, including the setup and maintenance of master data ensuring all required information is accurately captured, validated, and compliant with American Pacific’s operational and regulatory requirements.

  • Create, maintain, and update vendor and customer master data in SAP (business partners). Manage material master creation and extension for supply, manufacturing, and finance processes. Ensure compliance with data standards, governance, and approval workflows.

  • Coordinate with Finance and Logistics to ensure accuracy of payment terms, tax codes, and delivery details. Perform periodic audits of master data to ensure integrity and alignment with business rules.

  • Monitor quality and consistency of raw materials, products, and services. Consult with Operation, R&D/Quality and Maintenance and other departments as required, investigating, and resolving quality issues quickly and effectively.

  • Aid in maintaining the Supplier rating system. Ensuring that suppliers are informed of performance standards and requirements as pertains to ISO 9000

  • Work cross-functionally with Warehouse, Maintenance, and Production to establish and maintain appropriate stock levels in response to demand variability, while monitoring and updating lead times as procurement activities progress.

  • Consult with Business Group, R&D, Manufacturing and Process Technology to provide information regarding competitive challenges, potential entrants, pricing initiatives and quality, service, price, and distribution issues.
