Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required for company projects and operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background to understand specifications and ensure cost-effective and timely procurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant procurement experience.
• Procurement or supply chain certification will be an added advantage.

Key Competencies

• Knowledge of procurement lifecycle and vendor management.
• Strong negotiation and price evaluation skills.
• Ability to read and understand technical requirements and drawings.
• ERP / purchasing software knowledge.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Source and identify qualified suppliers for materials, spare parts, and services.
• Float inquiries, obtain quotations, and prepare techno-commercial comparisons.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery timelines.
• Create and process purchase orders in line with company procedures.
• Track orders and ensure on-time delivery to project sites or stores.
• Coordinate with engineering and operations teams to confirm specifications.
• Maintain supplier records, contracts, and documentation.
• Evaluate supplier performance and develop alternative sources.
• Ensure compliance with quality, budget, and company procurement policies.
• Handle discrepancies related to supply, quality, or invoices.
