Procurement Specialist

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team and drive excellence in sourcing, purchasing, and supply chain management. In this role, you will be responsible for managing procurement processes, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely acquisition of materials and services that support our manufacturing and operational needs. Your expertise will help optimize supplier relationships, improve procurement strategies, and contribute to the overall efficiency of our supply chain operations. Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to identify reliable suppliers and secure competitive pricing for materials and services.
  • Manage end-to-end procurement processes using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, or similar platforms, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers, focusing on terms that maximize value while minimizing risks, including adherence to Federal Acquisition Regulations where applicable.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to resolve procurement issues, improve supply chain efficiency, and prevent future disruptions.
  • Oversee supplier management activities, including performance evaluations, relationship building, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and production planning teams to align procurement activities with demand forecasts (MRP) and production schedules.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain risks to proactively adjust sourcing strategies.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in procurement management within manufacturing or supply chain environments.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle EBS for procurement and materials management.
  • Expertise in contract negotiation, contract management, and category management principles.
  • Familiarity with supply chain management concepts including logistics, sourcing, supplier management, and quality assurance.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement process improvements effectively.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on achieving optimal pricing while maintaining supplier relationships.
  • Knowledge of federal acquisition regulations (FAR) is a plus for roles involving government contracts. Pay: $60,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
