Procurement Specialist

Job Title : Procurement Specialist (MEP, Fit-Out & Civil)

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Employment Type: Full-time

Experience: 5–8 years (Minimum 3 years in the UAE contracting sector)

Position Summary

We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage the end-to-end sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of materials for Civil, MEP, HVAC, and Interior Fit-Out projects. This role requires a balance of technical knowledge and strong commercial negotiation to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Sourcing & Vendor Management: Source and pre-qualify local and international suppliers for HVAC equipment, MEP consumables, civil materials, and high-end fit-out/joinery items.
• BOQ & Technical Review: Review project drawings, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and technical specifications to align vendor quotes with consultant requirements.
• Negotiation & Estimation: Prepare detailed cost-comparison sheets and negotiate competitive pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• PO & Contract Management: Issue Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) and draft sub-contract agreements in compliance with company policy and UAE labor laws.
• Logistics & Expediting: Monitor order statuses, coordinate logistics, and ensure timely material delivery to Abu Dhabi sites to prevent project delays.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience: Proven track record in procurement for UAE construction companies, specifically handling both MEP/HVAC and Fit-Out packages.
• Skills: Proficient in reading engineering drawings, utilizing ERP software (SAP/Oracle), and mastering MS Excel.
• Market Knowledge: Strong network of established vendors and subcontractors in the UAE market.
• Language & Mobility: Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus). A valid UAE driving license is highly preferred.
