Job Profile
The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing food products, raw materials, and related supplies from the local market to support the company’s operations. The role involves dealing directly with suppliers in food trading markets, monitoring daily price fluctuations, negotiating competitive rates, and ensuring timely availability of quality materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source quotations, negotiate pricing, and issue purchase orders in accordance with approved requisitions and policies.
- Follow up with suppliers on order confirmations, lead times, and delivery schedules to ensure timely supply.
- Track open purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement and supplier records.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on cost, quality, reliability, and service standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate procurement to prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Work closely with warehouse and operations teams to assess material requirements and consumption trends.
- Ensure procurement activities align with approved budgets and cost-control objectives.
- Monitor market trends, price fluctuations, and currency impacts affecting food commodities and imports.
- Ensure compliance with documentation, internal controls, and food safety or regulatory requirements, coordinating with finance, quality, and logistics teams.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
- 2 – 5 years of UAE experience in procurement or purchasing, within food trading.
- Experience in Al -Ras market (Dubai) is mandatory.
- Excellent understanding of food commodities, local market sourcing, and supplier coordination.
- Knowledge of procurement documentation, purchase orders, and invoice verification processes.
- Ability to handle pricing information, supplier details, and commercial data with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Good communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in Advanced Excel and ERP systems.

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,500.00 per month
