General Responsibility:
Serve as a Procurement Specialist II for the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED); utilizing individual discretion in performing routine and complex procurement activities within the guidelines of the South Carolina Consolidated Procurement Code and Regulations, as well as other applicable state policies and procedures.
Specific Duties:
A bachelor’s degree and one (1) year of governmental purchasing experience; OR an associate’s degree and two (2) years of governmental purchasing experience; or a high school diploma and three (3) years of governmental purchasing experience.
Knowledge of the South Carolina Consolidated Procurement Code and Regulations.
Knowledge and experience using the South Carolina Enterprise Information System (SCEIS) to perform procurement related functions or the ability to learn.
Knowledge of South Carolina Purchasing Card (P-Card) program.
Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe applications.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and via written correspondence.
Must be able to function in a high-volume, time sensitive environment.
Position may require occasional travel.
