Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive International Logistics and Procurement Specialist to manage global sourcing, supplier relations, and cross-border shipping operations. The ideal candidate will handle end-to-end procurement and international logistics to ensure timely delivery of goods at the most cost-effective rates while maintaining product quality, vendor compliance, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:Procurement
- Source and evaluate international suppliers, especially from China and other key markets, for quality, pricing, and reliability.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery timelines to achieve optimal cost efficiency.
- Manage sourcing through platforms such as Alibaba, Global Sources, and other B2B marketplaces.
- Issue purchase orders (POs) and manage order confirmations, production updates, and delivery schedules.
- Maintain and update vendor master data, including contact details, credit terms, and product catalogs.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
International Logistics
- Plan and coordinate international shipments (air, sea, courier) from suppliers to warehouses or customers.
- Collaborate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
- Prepare and manage import/export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading (BOL), certificates of origin (COO), etc.
- Track shipments and ensure on-time customs clearance and final delivery.
- Ensure compliance with international trade laws, incoterms, and import/export regulations.
Administrative & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of all procurement and logistics transactions.
- Analyze freight costs, lead times, and supplier performance, and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
- Coordinate with finance teams for invoice reconciliation, payment processing, and landed cost calculations.
- Collaborate with warehouse and customer service teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and timely deliveries.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, International Trade, or a related field.
- 3–7 years of experience in international procurement or logistics, preferably in B2B or industrial sectors.
- Proven experience working with Chinese suppliers and handling imports via Alibaba, Made-in-China, and similar sourcing platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms, customs procedures, and freight negotiation.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP), and online shipping portals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail abilities.
