Participates in the planning process and contributes to an integrated approach and consistency in the implementation and operationalization of the procurement plan, in compliance with the AFD s’ procurement guidelines. Managing multiple procurement activities simultaneously and ensuring that deadlines are met
He / she will be responsible of:

• Preparing bidding documentation, overseeing the bidding process and selection of candidates/suppliers, including for the Accredited financial institution.
• Identify suppliers and manage the solicitation process based on AFD procurement guidelines for goods, works, and services.
• Preparing contracts for signature in accordance with the terms and conditions defined in the bidding documents, as per AFD procurement procedures.
• Tracking inventory and submitting purchase orders as needed.

Duty Station
The position is based in Islamabad and requires extensive travel to Gilgit-Baltistan

Education
At least graduation in contract law, procurement or engineering

Experience

• At least 7 years of experience on procurement on infrastructures works projects (energy, water and sanitation, etc.) or related fields;

• Experience with international donors funded projects (AFD, World Bank, etc.) procurement (at least two projects) is an asset

Skills

• Excellent knowledge of tendering procedures and documentation from the international donors (AFD, WB, etc.);
• Strong drafting skills; good ability to organize work; ability to develop dashboards, project action plans, procurement plans;good listening and consultation skills; responsiveness, rigor, and method; good knowledge of computer tools.
