We build International trucks and engines and IC Bus® school and commercial buses, as well as develop Fleetrite aftermarket parts. Interns are carefully selected for one of the following Functional Areas:

Direct Material Procurement (Cabin, Chassis, Powertrain, or Aftersales)

Duration: Summer 2026 (12 weeks) Location: Lisle, IL

Responsibilities:
Potential projects could include:
-
Vendor Consolidation Strategy and Tail Spend Analysis
-
Establish process for Supplier Capacity/Lead time documentation
-
Assist with data mining information to formulate Category Strategies– i.e.: Liaison with the Engineering teams to get technical details for the strategy
-
Assisting in CSA negotiation and execution
-
Optimization of Aftermarket processes and part number rationalization
-
Creation and maintenance of Procurement dashboards and systems
Minimum Requirements:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
Additional Requirements:

Desired Skills:
- At least Sophomore standing for undergrad at the time of application

Preference given to students pursuing degrees in: Supply Chain, General Business or Industrial Engineering

Able to work at least 12 weeks (starting the end of May or early June through August)

Benefits and Compensation:
We provide a competitive total rewards package which ensures job satisfaction both on and off the job.
The expected compensation hourly pay ranges for hires into our campus intern openings is $24 - $38/hour. The hourly pay rate is based on year in school and is non-negotiable.
