Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the procurement team to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to achieve optimal cost savings.
  • Oversee the entire procurement process – sourcing, purchasing, order tracking, and delivery coordination.
  • Manage supplier performance, resolve disputes, and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Identify new suppliers, monitor market trends, and source innovative products or materials.
  • Ensure timely placement of purchase orders and maintain supply-demand alignment.
  • Supervise and guide team members, providing training, direction, and performance feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of orders, supplier details, and procurement documentation.
  • Analyze procurement data and prepare reports on cost, supplier performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (Sales, Finance, Logistics) to meet business objectives.

Experience and Skills Required

Experience:

  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Proven track record in team leadership and supplier relationship management.

Skills:

  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and Google Sheetshands-on experience mandatory.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Exposure to international procurement (UK, EU, or Asia) is an added advantage.

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related field.
