Procurement Team Member

American Equipment Manufacturing is still growing and needs a hands-on Procurement Team Member. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, computer skills (EXCEL) and execute directives from the manager of the department.

Must be able to schedule long-lead materials based on manufacturing schedules. This position will also pursue opportunities to reduce costs and provide on-going supplier communication.

Understanding minimum/maximum inventory is a must.

You must be able to take internal documents, which is a list of materials required to manufacture a product, and solicit quotes for material and freight.

Familiarity with plate steel, shapes, pipe, valves, fittings, and specialty items. Must have basic math skills as well as geometry, figuring square footage and circumference.

Must be able to create material take-offs from drawings and create a bill of materials in accounting software which is used as a part number relieving inventory of the individual pieces.
