Job Title: Procurement Manager
CTC: ₹50,000 – ₹70,000 per month

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Procurement Manager to lead our sourcing and procurement activities for pharmaceutical projects. This position requires strong technical understanding, negotiation skills, and the ability to manage end-to-end procurement processes, vendor development, and project coordination to ensure on-time and cost-effective delivery of machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead procurement of machinery, equipment, and systems required for pharmaceutical projects.
- Conduct technical evaluation and due diligence for all capital equipment and project utilities.
- Define and implement procurement strategies, systems, SOPs, and vendor evaluation frameworks.
- Identify, qualify, and monitor vendors to meet project delivery, cost, and quality requirements.
- Maintain and strengthen long-term supplier relationships and alternative sourcing options.
- Oversee end-to-end procurement processes: RFQs, technical & commercial comparisons, negotiation, vendor communication, and contract management.
- Plan and conduct client FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) inspections in coordination with project teams.
- Work with legal and cross-functional teams to finalize service agreements and contracts.
- Lead competitive bidding processes and strategic negotiations to drive cost savings.
- Supervise and mentor procurement team members; assign KPIs and ensure team goals are met.
- Track procurement schedules in alignment with overall project timelines.
- Resolve vendor grievances and contractual disputes.
- Regularly present vendor evaluation reports and sourcing strategies to senior management.
- Ensure compliance in procurement documentation, process automation, and reporting.
- Coordinate with Business Development and Project teams for effective procurement planning.
- Manage procurement of all major capital items including Pharma process machinery, electrical & mechanical systems, HVAC, clean/black utilities, lab furniture, and related components.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Graduate in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation) from a reputed Government/Regional Engineering College.
- Experience: 8–10 years of experience in procurement for pharmaceutical projects, ideally from a pharma company or engineering/consulting organization.
