Role: Product & Customer Experience Assistant (Rare Plant Shop)
Location: Lake Worth, Florida – On-site
Type: Full-time, Mon–Fri 12pm–8pm
Pay: $18–$21 per hour, Bonuses based on sales targets
Mission
Keep our rare plant customers thrilled and our online platforms polished. You’ll manage day-to-day communication, product uploads, and backend organization so the founder can focus on growth and sourcing incredible plants.
What Success Looks Like (Outcomes)
Within 90 days, you are:
- Uploading and updating new products daily with accurate photos, titles, pricing, and inventory.
- Maintaining a beautiful, easy-to-navigate website that stays current and drives sales.
- Responding to all customer messages within 3 hours with friendly, helpful answers.
- Increasing repeat orders and positive reviews from existing customers.
- Keeping our sales platform listings clean, accurate, and up to date.
- Take photos and video for the founders to create on-brand social content with.
- Improving simple systems (folders, templates, checklists) for faster, smoother operations.
Key Responsibilities
Product & Website Management
- Upload new products (photos, titles, descriptions, pricing, inventory) to the website and sales platforms.
- Audit listings regularly to ensure accuracy and remove or update sold-out items.
- Keep collections, categories, and featured products current and visually appealing.
- Coordinate with the founder on pricing, promotions, and featured listings.
Customer Communication & Retention
- Answer DMs, emails, and comments quickly and thoughtfully.
- Help customers choose plants, care for them, and resolve issues.
- Follow up with past buyers for reviews, referrals, and repeat sales.
- Track common customer questions and suggest FAQ or help resources.
Social Media & Content
- Take on-brand social photos and video for the founders to create content with.
- Engage with our collector community warmly and consistently.
Admin & Systems
- Maintain organized digital files, templates, and SOPs.
- Suggest and implement process improvements (filters, checklists, canned responses).
Requirements
- 1–3 years in an administrative, customer service, or coordinator-type role.
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
- Strong organization and ability to manage multiple small tasks.
- Tech-comfortable: able to learn website platforms, social tools, and backend systems quickly.
- Bonus: Interest in rare plants, collectibles, or enthusiasm to learn.
