Nabat is a climate-tech startup based in the UAE using advanced technology to protect and restore natural ecosystems with precision and scale! We operate at the intersection of ecological & environmental sciences, GIS, AI, and robotics. Our mission is to enable data-driven, science-backed ecosystem management and restoration at the speed and scale necessary to address the critical challenges of climate change, deforestation, land erosion, and biodiversity loss. Our comprehensive solution - consisting of ecosystem management software, precision aerial seeding drones, AI & ecological models, and restoration services - is already being used to plant millions of mangroves in the UAE. But we’re just getting started, as we build our platform to serve the needs of coastal, marine and arid ecosystems around the world.

We are looking for an experienced Product Designer to join our team and shape the future of our digital products. You will take ownership of end-to-end design processes, transforming complex challenges into simple, intuitive, and delightful user experiences. This role requires strong design expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions at scale.

🔹Your responsibilities will include:

• Lead end-to-end design processes — from research and ideation to wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions and ensure user-centered outcomes.
• Design for complexity and scale , creating intuitive solutions that balance advanced functionality for power users with approachability for non-experts.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align user needs with business objectives and technical feasibility.
• Develop, maintain, and evolve design systems , ensuring consistency and scalability across platforms.
• Translate technical concepts into clear interaction models, flows, and visualizations that make complex systems easy to use.
• Communicate design rationale effectively , facilitating design reviews and influencing decisions at multiple levels.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to fostering a culture of design excellence and collaboration.
• Stay up to date on design trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UX/UI and product design.

🔹What are we looking for?

• 4+ years of experience in product design with a proven track record of shipping digital products.
• Strong portfolio showcasing interaction design, visual design, and user-centered solutions across web and/or mobile.
• Mastery of modern design tools (Figma required; Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar a plus).
• Deep understanding of UX principles, design thinking, information architecture, and responsive design .
• Experience designing and evolving design systems for scale.
• Solid knowledge of user research methods (qualitative and quantitative) and their application in product design.
• Strong communication and presentation skills , able to articulate design decisions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working closely with cross-functional, distributed teams.
• Strong adaptability and initiative in fast-paced, evolving environments .
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Nice to Have (Bonus)

• Exposure to complex domains, multi-role systems, or configuration tools .
• Background or interest in AI/ML, conversational interfaces, or automation workflows .
• Familiarity with APIs, scripting interfaces, or workflow builders .
• Experience in voice technologies, telephony, or conversational design .
• Contribution to or leadership of scaling design systems in fast-growing organizations.
