Product Development Merchandiser-Fashion Designer- Bangalore

We are looking for a skilled and creative Product Development Merchandiser with a strong fashion design background to manage the end-to-end development process for women’s and men’s apparel lines. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in design coordination, sampling, sourcing, costing, and vendor management, ensuring each collection is trend-right, high-quality, and delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the product development process from design concept to bulk production for women’s and men’s wear categories.
• Work closely with the design, buying, and production teams to translate design ideas into commercially viable products.
• Conduct market and trend research, fabric sourcing, and material selection in line with seasonal directions.
• Coordinate sampling and prototyping, ensuring fit, construction, and detailing meet brand standards.
• Prepare and manage costing sheets, ensuring price efficiency while maintaining product quality.
• Liaise with vendors, mills, and factories for sample approvals, quality checks, and production timelines.
• Maintain and update T&A (Time & Action) calendars to track all development milestones.
• Collaborate with the quality and technical teams for final product sign-off.
• Analyze sell-through reports and customer feedback to provide input for future collections.
• Ensure all documentation — from tech packs to final approvals — is accurate and up to date.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of apparel construction, pattern making, and fabric behavior.
• Excellent knowledge of fashion trends, trims, and garment detailing.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Google Sheets, and ERP systems.
• Strong vendor management, costing, and negotiation abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a creative yet commercial mindset.
• Ability to multitask and work within tight timelines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
